Amy Brenneman, Elisabeth Shue Have Babies

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actresses Elisabeth Shue ("Leaving Las
Vegas," "Hollow Man") and Amy Brenneman (star of TV's "Judging Amy
gave birth to daughters this week, their publicist said
Wednesday.
Brenneman, 36, who is married to prominent television director Brad
Silberling, delivered the couple's first child Tuesday at a Los Angeles
hospital. The child, weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces at birth, was named
Charlotte.
Brenneman, who first gained notice in a groundbreaking nude scene as detective Janice Licalsi during
the first season of ABC police drama "NYPD Blue," currently plays the title role on
the CBS hit show "Judging Amy."
On Monday, Shue, 37, who received an Oscar nomination for best actress for her role as a prostitute
opposite Nicolas Cage in the 1995 drama "Leaving Las Vegas," gave birth to a girl, named Stella, her
second child with husband Davis Guggenheim. Shue's last big-screen appearance was in the critically
panned thriller "Hollow Man," opposite Kevin Bacon.
The publicist for both actresses said the mothers and babies were all doing fine.
