Close's 'Things' set for benefit
Atlanta-Journal Constitution - April 14, 2000
By Richard L. Eldredge - Staff
Five-time Oscar nominee Glenn Close will
arrive in Atlanta next month with her new movie,
"Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her." The event is part of "Best of the
Fest 2000," the annual Sundance Institute benefit featuring top movies from the
Sundance Film Festival.
The event, to be held May 8 at the Woodruff Arts Center, features two films:
"Things" and the Sundance documentary grand prize winner, "Long Night's
Journey Into Day." "Things," also starring Cameron Diaz, Calista Flockhart,
Holly Hunter and Amy Brenneman, consists of five interwoven vignettes involving
apparently disconnected San Fernando Valley residents. It's expected to open
in July in metro Atlanta.
