Lighter Schedule This Season For Pregnant Amy Brenneman
Beck/Smith Hollywood Exclusive - October 6, 2000
FROM THE INSIDE LOOKING OUT: Amy Brenneman expects her "Judging
Amy" schedule to lighten up some this season, which is not a bad thing,
considering she and her director husband, Brad Silberling, are expecting in the
spring.
"Last year, I was pretty much invested in every episode. The stories were seen
either through the eyes of Tyne (Daly), Dan (Futterman) or myself. This year, it's
sort of opened up, and it's really exciting," Amy says. "We have some amazing
supporting people who are ready to fly."
Brenneman, whose pregnancy is being hidden on the show, also tells us that,
unlike last year's "Judging Amy" episodes, audiences will not necessarily see
every story wrapped up at the end of an hour. For instance, "We started a story
with Tyne's character getting involved in a child abuse case in the opening
episode, and it hasn't been resolved yet" -- with the series troupe now lensing
episode 8.
