... On the other end of the spectrum is Judging Amy, which is just getting started. One of the few rookie hits of last
season returns with a strong premiere episode and a wealth of story lines that can be explored. Last we left
Judging Amy, there was a van explosion that sent Vincent (Dan Futterman) flying into the air.
Tuesday night, viewers will see the aftermath, which isn't pretty. It's a well-crafted season opener that explores
all the issues raised but does not conclude anything, another of the hallmarks of this series.
As for cases for Amy (Amy Brenneman), she deals with an 11-year-old boy accused of stalking. And Maxine (Tyne
Daly) will work more with abused kids.
Producers also say that Amy will lighten up a bit this season, and maybe even have a love life. Or something that
at least resembles a love life. We'll believe it when we see it.
