Pasdar Goes Before 'Judging Amy's' Bench
Zap2it - July 31, 2003
LOS ANGELES - Former
"Profit" star Adrian Pasdar will join the cast of CBS' "Judging Amy" in the
coming season.
Pasdar will have a recurring role as Doug McClaren, an assistant district
attorney who argues cases before Judge Amy Gray (Amy Brenneman). He'll first
show up in the season premiere, scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 23, in which he
prosecutes a capital murder case.
"Judging Amy," which is entering its fifth season, has quietly become one of
the higher-rated dramas on TV. It averaged about 13 million viewers a week
last season, placing it in the top 30 in the overall Nielsen rankings and
ninth among dramas.
Brenneman and co-star Tyne Daly have both earned multiple Emmy nominations
for their work on the show.
In addition to the well-received but short-lived "Profit," Pasdar has
starred in the NBC/PAX series "Mysterious Ways" and, most recently, the
Lifetime movie "Crossing the Line."
